“The Fighter” is the story of Micky Ward (Mark Wahlberg) who is known as ‘Irish’, an up and coming lightweight boxer. Micky is being trained by his half-brother Dicky Eklund (Christian Bale) who is very grueling in his methods of training for his younger half-brother. Micky has one problem though; he’s a recovering drug addict and ex-con who falls in love with a woman, Charlene Fleming (Amy Adams). It quickly proves that women and fighting don’t mix as Micky is torn between his three worlds; wanting to be a boxing champion, running from his shady past and wanting to become the next big boxing champion.
